awesome-extra software package provides additional modules for awesome, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install awesome-extra
awesome-extra is installed in your system.
Make ensure the awesome-extra package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep awesome-extra *
You will get with awesome-extra package name, version, architecture and description in a table
